Food @ Hackney House:
Global Meets Local

Eventbrite - Food @ Hackney House

Whether it's about urban food-growing, artisan food production, locally-sourced restaurants or global food, Hackney has an incredible story to tell.

The spirit of Hackney’s global community brings with it rich flavours from all over the world from Vietnam to the Caribbean, West Africa to Turkey, or Italy to China, Hackney has them all.

At the same time, residents and businesses are growing and producing more and more of their own food and drink. From urban food gardens, artisan bakeries, micro-breweries, patchwork farms, floating allotments, roof-top bee-hives, urban farming apprenticeships, vegetable box schemes and community kitchens, Hackney is a phenomenal world of food growing and production.

And an increasing number of Hackney's catering businesses are sourcing locally, training local labour and creating more sustainable, ethical business models.

Food @ Hackney House: Global Meets Local brings together a delectable selection of these growers, producers and caterers offering local and global food to provide a taste of what Hackney has to offer from the world of food.

Nelly is back in the House too.
